I joined Euclid Art in 2014. The organization is
filled with wonderful people.
As long as I can remember I liked to draw. As a child, we
couldn’t afford art supplies so I used my school lined paper
and pencils to draw. My favorite subject was horses. After
high school, I added photography to my life.
While living in Florida, I become an instructor for several
Therapy Riding Centers. At this time, I started to explore
my photography and art more fully. I took some college
classes and photographed everything!
My first art instructor was Dorothy Geisert. She taught me
so much about art. The history and the masters and what I
could learn from them. She taught me where to start,
composition, color theory and much more. I then took life
drawing classes from Eddie Mitchell. He helped me
tremendously. His drive and enthusiasm were wonderful
motivations for me. My instructor now is David Rankin. He
is an amazing artist and teacher. His watercolor
procedures, recipes, washes, and brushwork are incredible.
My painting has improved because of his techniques.
My favorite subjects are
birds, horses, nature, and landscapes.
