Curried Cheese and
Chutney Spread

"During a cocktail
party, it's fun to watch guests sample this spread and come back
for more, as if to say, "I can't imagine what is in this, let me
try it again." Soon the dish is empty and still no one can
identify the ingredients, and everyone wants more."
Yields: about 2 1/2 cups, enough for approximately 8 to 10
servings
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, grated
1/2 to 1 teaspoon curry powder, more if desired...( I like to
mix hot & regular)
3 tablespoons sherry
1 8-ounce jar Major Grey's mango chutney
1/2 cup green onions, chopped
Combine cream cheese and sharp cheese, then add curry powder
and sherry. Mound onto serving dish. Pour chutney over cheese and
top with green onions. Serve with crackers.
Note: This spread makes a good tea sandwich. Omit green onions
and use wheat bread.
